Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Full-Time (Nights, Rotating Weekends)
Location: Sanford, FL
Pay Range: $28 - $40hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our dynamic healthcare team in Sanford, Florida. The RRT will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team. This role is ideal for professionals eager to advance their clinical expertise in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressures.

Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care procedures to evaluate and treat patients.

Administer therapies such as oxygen delivery, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy.

Assist with artificial airway placement and manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.

Monitor patient responses to therapy, document progress, and notify providers of significant changes.

Respond promptly to emergency situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation.

Safely transport ventilator-dependent patients as needed.
Qualifications
-
Licensure: NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).

Education: Completion of a two-year AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree or equivalent).

Experience:
-
Flexible new graduates accepted (must have passed boards or be awaiting official RRT license).

CRT-only experience does not qualify.

Certifications:
-
BLS within 30 days of hire.

ACLS within 6 months of hire.

PALS within 6 months of hire.

NRP within 6 months of hire.
