Civil Engineer (Infrastructure / Building Construction / Industrial Projects)

Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead the planning, design, execution, and supervision of civil engineering works across infrastructure, residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. This role is responsible for ensuring structural integrity, construction quality, regulatory compliance, and efficient project delivery from design through construction and handover.

The Senior Civil Engineer serves as a technical lead, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver safe, durable, and cost-effective civil engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Civil Engineering Design & Technical Leadership

  • Lead the design, analysis, and implementation of civil and structural engineering works

  • Review and approve structural drawings, calculations, and construction methodologies

  • Ensure compliance with national building codes, structural standards, and project specifications

  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, site engineers, and drafting teams

  • Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives without compromising safety or quality

Structural & Construction Engineering

  • Perform structural analysis and design for reinforced concrete, steel, and composite structures

  • Oversee foundations, retaining walls, slabs, beams, columns, and load-bearing systems

  • Evaluate soil reports and foundation designs in coordination with geotechnical engineers

  • Ensure proper interpretation and execution of structural drawings on-site

  • Resolve structural and civil-related technical issues during construction

Site Supervision & Project Execution

  • Supervise civil works on-site including excavation, foundation, structural works, and finishing

  • Ensure construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, and safety standards

  • Monitor project progress, quality control, and material usage

  • Conduct site inspections, measurements, and progress reporting

  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel for smooth execution

Materials, Quality Control & Safety Compliance

  • Review and approve construction materials and testing results (concrete, steel, aggregates, etc.)

  • Implement QA/QC procedures for civil construction works

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and construction best practices

  • Identify and mitigate construction risks and structural issues

  • Support site audits, inspections, and regulatory approvals

Project Coordination & Collaboration

  • Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, surveyors, and project managers

  • Participate in design coordination meetings and technical discussions

  • Ensure alignment of civil works with architectural and MEP requirements

  • Communicate project status, risks, and technical challenges to stakeholders

  • Assist in planning and scheduling of construction activities

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare technical reports, progress reports, and site documentation

  • Review BOQs, cost estimates, and material take-offs

  • Maintain accurate project records, drawings, and revision logs

  • Support preparation of tender documents and construction methodologies

  • Ensure proper documentation for project handover and as-built drawings

Requirements:

  • 5–10+ years of experience in civil engineering or construction supervision

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • Strong knowledge of structural design principles and construction methods

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and civil engineering design/software tools

  • Solid understanding of building codes, structural standards, and safety regulations

  • Experience in residential, commercial, infrastructure, or industrial projects

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and site coordination skills

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Preferred (Nice-to-Have):

  • Licensed Civil Engineer (or equivalent certification depending on country)

  • Experience with structural design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro)

  • Knowledge of geotechnical engineering and soil analysis

  • Familiarity with project management and construction planning tools (Primavera, MS Project)

  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure, high-rise, or industrial projects

  • Exposure to BIM and digital construction workflows

  • Strong background in QA/QC systems and site management practices

  • Experience working in fast-paced construction environments
