Revit / BIM Designer (MEP / Architectural / Structural Coordination)
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Revit / BIM Designer to lead the development, coordination, and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) deliverables across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. This role is responsible for producing high-quality 3D models, ensuring model accuracy, managing coordination workflows, and supporting multidisciplinary design and construction teams.
The Senior BIM Designer serves as a technical specialist in digital design delivery, ensuring efficient collaboration, clash-free models, and accurate construction documentation from concept through project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
BIM Modeling & Design Development
Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models using Autodesk Revit across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines
Translate 2D drawings and design concepts into accurate, coordinated BIM models
Ensure model accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project BIM standards and protocols
Produce coordinated construction drawings, shop drawings, and design documentation from BIM models
Maintain model integrity across multiple revisions and design changes
BIM Coordination & Clash Detection
Lead coordination between architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines within BIM environments
Perform clash detection using Navisworks and resolve design conflicts proactively
Participate in coordination meetings with engineers, architects, and contractors
Identify spatial conflicts, constructability issues, and system integration challenges
Ensure seamless integration of all building systems within the BIM model
BIM Standards & Model Management
Implement and enforce BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project-specific standards
Maintain consistent naming conventions, families, templates, and model structures
Manage shared models, worksets, and collaboration workflows using BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud
Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 or other BIM standards (where applicable)
Control model quality, versioning, and data accuracy across project lifecycle
Documentation & Drawing Production
Generate coordinated plans, sections, elevations, and details from BIM models
Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built documentation
Extract quantities and support BOQ and cost estimation processes
Ensure drawings are accurate, consistent, and aligned with design intent
Support submission packages for approvals and construction requirements
Collaboration & Project Support
Work closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors
Support design coordination meetings and technical workshops
Assist in resolving design and construction issues using BIM tools
Translate engineering inputs into coordinated digital models
Communicate model updates, risks, and coordination issues to project teams
BIM Automation & Continuous Improvement
Support development of BIM families, templates, and libraries
Improve modeling efficiency through workflows, scripts, and automation tools (Dynamo, etc.)
Stay updated with emerging BIM technologies and digital construction trends
Contribute to continuous improvement of BIM standards and best practices
Promote digital transformation and innovation in project delivery
Requirements:
5–10+ years of experience in BIM modeling and Revit-based design coordination
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP, Architectural, or Structural)
Experience with Navisworks for clash detection and coordination
Solid understanding of construction drawings and building systems integration
Knowledge of BIM workflows, standards, and project coordination processes
Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and model accuracy
Excellent coordination and communication skills
Preferred (Nice-to-Have):
Experience with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud
Knowledge of Dynamo or other BIM automation tools
Familiarity with ISO 19650 BIM standards
Experience in large-scale projects (high-rise, hospitals, commercial complexes, industrial facilities)
Understanding of MEP, structural, or architectural engineering principles
Exposure to 4D/5D BIM (scheduling and cost integration)
Experience working in multidisciplinary design consultancy or contractor environments
Knowledge of laser scanning / point cloud modeling workflows
