Process Engineer (Manufacturing / Industrial / Operations / Continuous Improvement)
Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Process Engineer to design, optimize, and improve operational processes across manufacturing, industrial, production, and business environments. This role is responsible for enhancing efficiency, quality, safety, and productivity by analyzing workflows, implementing process improvements, and driving operational excellence initiatives.
The Process Engineer serves as a key contributor in identifying process gaps, reducing operational costs, improving product quality, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and operational performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Design & Optimization
Design, analyze, and improve production and operational processes
Identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
Develop and implement process optimization strategies to improve productivity
Conduct workflow analysis, capacity planning, and process mapping
Standardize operating procedures and best practices across operationsContinuous Improvement & Lean Initiatives
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies
Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to drive performance improvements
Reduce waste, downtime, defects, and operational costs
Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
Support operational excellence and efficiency improvement programsProduction & Operational Support
Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams
Provide technical support for manufacturing and operational issues
Assist in process troubleshooting and problem resolution
Ensure smooth implementation of new processes, equipment, or systems
Support new product introductions and process validation activitiesQuality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures
Conduct risk assessments and process hazard evaluations
Support audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities
Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions
Promote a culture of workplace safety and quality excellenceData Analysis & Reporting
Analyze process data and generate performance reports
Use statistical tools and data-driven methodologies for process improvement
Monitor equipment and process performance trends
Recommend solutions based on operational and production data
Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholdersProject Management & Collaboration
Participate in cross-functional engineering and operational projects
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and external partners when required
Support equipment installation, commissioning, and process integration
Assist in project planning, scheduling, and implementation activities
Communicate project risks, timelines, and progress effectivelyDocumentation & Continuous Learning
Maintain accurate technical documentation and process records
Contribute to knowledge sharing and process standardization efforts
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices
Support training initiatives for operators and technical teams
Continuously evaluate opportunities for operational improvement
Requirements:
3–8+ years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing, or operations
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, or related field)
Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
Experience with process mapping, root cause analysis, and workflow optimization
Knowledge of manufacturing systems, production operations, and quality standards
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Minitab, etc.)
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred (Nice-to-Have):
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
Experience with ERP or MES systems
Familiarity with automation and industrial control systems
Knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory compliance
Experience in high-volume manufacturing or industrial operations
Exposure to continuous improvement and operational excellence programs
Experience with project management methodologies and tools
Understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems
