Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Healthcare Executive to provide senior leadership across clinical, operational, and administrative functions within a healthcare organization. This role is responsible for driving system-wide performance, improving patient outcomes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and aligning healthcare delivery with financial and strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate is a proven healthcare leader with deep experience across hospital operations, clinical services, quality improvement, and organizational transformation. This role requires strong executive presence, cross-functional leadership capability, and the ability to lead complex healthcare systems at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Healthcare Strategy & Leadership

  • Provide executive leadership across clinical, operational, and administrative domains

  • Define and execute healthcare delivery strategies aligned with organizational goals

  • Drive improvements in patient care quality, safety, and clinical outcomes

  • Lead system-wide initiatives for service line development and expansion

  • Ensure alignment between clinical operations and financial performance

Operational & Clinical Excellence

  • Oversee healthcare operations across multiple departments or facilities

  • Improve patient flow, throughput, and care delivery efficiency

  • Lead initiatives to reduce hospital-acquired conditions and readmissions

  • Ensure adherence to evidence-based clinical standards and protocols

  • Monitor and improve key healthcare performance metrics

Leadership & Organizational Management

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams including clinical, operational, and administrative leaders

  • Mentor Directors, Managers, and senior healthcare leaders

  • Develop leadership pipelines and succession planning strategies

  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement

  • Strengthen organizational structure and governance frameworks

Financial & Resource Management

  • Partner with finance leadership to ensure operational efficiency and sustainability

  • Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and cost optimization initiatives

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial performance without compromising care quality

  • Support revenue cycle alignment and reimbursement optimization efforts

  • Ensure efficient use of staffing, equipment, and clinical resources

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and policies

  • Oversee quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

  • Maintain readiness for audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action planning for clinical incidents

  • Promote a culture of safety and accountability across the organization

Executive Collaboration & Governance

  • Serve as a key member of executive leadership teams

  • Collaborate with CEO, COO, CFO, CNO, and other senior leaders

  • Participate in board-level discussions and strategic planning sessions

  • Align clinical, operational, and financial priorities across the organization

  • Represent the organization in external healthcare partnerships and initiatives

Innovation & Transformation

  • Lead healthcare transformation initiatives including digital health and AI adoption

  • Support modernization of clinical systems and operational workflows

  • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvement

  • Drive innovation in care delivery models and patient experience

  • Evaluate emerging healthcare technologies and best practices

Crisis Management & System Resilience

  • Lead response efforts during healthcare emergencies and system disruptions

  • Ensure business continuity and disaster preparedness across facilities

  • Coordinate cross-functional crisis response teams

  • Maintain operational stability during high-demand or emergency scenarios

  • Develop resilience strategies for healthcare system continuity

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or related field

  • Master’s degree (MHA, MBA, MSN, or related) strongly preferred

  • 10+ years of progressive healthcare leadership experience

  • 5+ years in senior leadership roles (Director, VP, or Executive-level healthcare leadership)

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and regulatory standards

  • Proven experience managing large teams or multi-site healthcare operations

  • Strong executive communication and leadership skills

  • Experience in healthcare quality, compliance, and operational improvement

  • Must currently reside in one of the approved locations listed above

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

  • Experience in hospital systems, integrated health networks, or large healthcare organizations

  • Strong background in clinical operations, nursing leadership, or healthcare finance

  • Experience with value-based care and population health management

  • Familiarity with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.)

  • Experience leading digital transformation in healthcare environments

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement certification

  • Experience working with boards, regulators, and external healthcare agencies

  • Background in healthcare strategy or consulting roles
