We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lymphoedema Nurse or Physiotherapist to join our team in Henley on Thames. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with lymphoedema and related conditions, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with lymphoedema and related conditions
- Implement and evaluate treatment interventions, including manual lymphatic drainage, compression therapy, exercise prescription, and skin care education
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal results
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on lymphoedema management and self-care techniques
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain current knowledge of best practices in lymphoedema management
- Adhere to all relevant professional standards, guidelines, and regulations
Essential Requirements:
- Degree in Nursing or Physiotherapy from an accredited institution
- Current registration with the relevant professional body (NMC or HCPC)
- Certification in lymphoedema management from a recognized training program
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with lymphoedema patients in a clinical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Additional training or certification in related fields, such as wound care, oncology, or palliative care
- Knowledge of the local healthcare system and resources available to lymphoedema patients
