We are looking for a skilled and experienced Healthcare Assistant (HCA) with surgical experience to join our Kensington clinic. The ideal candidate will have a background in cosmetic and aesthetic procedures and will possess the necessary skills to assist in various surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the cosmetic surgeon in all aspects of surgical procedures, ensuring the smooth flow and efficiency of the operations.

  • Perform wound checks and bandage changes, ensuring proper care and hygiene.

  • Set up the surgical theatre before each procedure, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in working order.

  • Provide assistance during surgeries, including handing instruments to the surgeon and ensuring aseptic techniques are followed.

  • Offer post-operative care and support to patients, answering any questions or concerns they may have.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and procedures performed.

  • Collaborate with the clinic's multidisciplinary team to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) with a focus on surgical procedures, preferably in the cosmetic and aesthetic field.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of wound care and bandage changes.

  • Familiarity with setting up a surgical theatre and knowledge of sterilization techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
