Role Purpose

The Advisory Manager will oversee the firm’s advisory practice in Hanoi, focusing on building strong client relationships, broadening service offerings, and delivering high-quality, practical solutions. This position is essential for driving growth in Northern Vietnam, with a strong focus on legal services, proactive client engagement, and collaboration across departments.


Main Objectives

  • Ensure seamless continuity of client relationships and advisory delivery

  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and contribute to the expansion of service offerings across departments

  • Deliver timely, accurate, and solution-oriented advisory outputs while supporting the development of the local team

Responsibilities

  • Interact directly with clients to evaluate needs, recommend solutions, and manage implementation.

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with international clients and local partners, including government authorities.

  • Supervise departmental projects and ensure the delivery of high-quality results.

  • Identify and suggest new services and solutions that provide additional value for clients.

  • Monitor and analyze regulatory and legal changes, providing clients with practical advice.

  • Additional: Carry out assignments as directed by senior leadership; oversee company setup, tax registration, HR, and IP procedures; coordinate activities of the advisory team as needed.

Candidate Profile

Education & Qualifications

  • A law degree is required, along with a license to practice law.

  • Specialization in business, labor, or investment law is considered an advantage.

Professional Experience

  • At least 6 years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.

  • Experience working in an international firm or foreign companies is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Excellent command of English

  • Strong negotiation skills are an advantage

Behavioral Competencies

  • Ability to proactively solve problems

  • Strong client relationship management skills

  • Resilient and adaptable in dynamic environments

  • Comfortable working independently under a non-micromanagement style, while providing regular updates

Knowledge Domain

  • Solid grounding in business advisory and legal services, with a focus on compliance and practical client solutions

  • Familiarity with investment, tax, commercial, and HR advisory matters in Vietnam is beneficial.
