AU Accounting Specialist — Senior / Intermediate | Multiple Positions Available

Full-Time Employment | Australian Clients | TaskPH (Under Countive EOR) Work-From-Home (Verified Setup Required) | Onsite Available on Request

About These Roles

Countive is attending the Accounting and Business Expo 2026 in Sydney, March 17–19. We are building a roster of qualified Filipino accounting professionals to present directly to Australian accounting firm owners and business clients at the event.

Shortlisted candidates will have a professional video profile shared with Australian employers ahead of the expo and will be invited to attend virtually — meeting potential employers face to face in real time. Strong matches move straight to offer.

These are full-time, long-term employment positions under Countive's Employer of Record structure, recruited through TaskPH. Part-time and fractional roles may become available as demand grows.

Freelancers, independent contractors, and candidates currently employed full-time elsewhere should not apply.

Seniority Standards

We define levels clearly and enforce them.

Senior Accountant

  • 8+ years total accounting experience
  • Minimum 4–5 years AU client-facing experience in a public accounting or registered tax agent environment
  • BAS preparation and reconciliation end-to-end
  • End-to-end Australian payroll processing
  • Proven ability to own and manage client files independently

Intermediate Accountant

  • Minimum 3 years full-time equivalent AU client-facing experience
  • Working knowledge of BAS preparation and reconciliation
  • Payroll exposure including STP and superannuation
  • Operates accounting systems independently with minimal supervision

Candidates below 3 years AU client-facing experience will be classified as Junior. We are not actively recruiting at Junior level.

Philippine accounting background? Experience in BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, and government lodgements is valued. Compliance-first accountants who are systems-savvy will be considered for AU-track training roles.

Technical Requirements — Non-Negotiable

BAS Preparation and Reconciliation You understand BAS end-to-end — reconciling GST collected and paid, cross-checking against the general ledger, identifying discrepancies, and preparing a clean worksheet ready for a registered agent to review and submit. You can walk through your full reconciliation process and show your working.

End-to-End Payroll Processing You have processed Australian payroll independently — salaried and casual pay runs, Single Touch Payroll reporting, superannuation and clearing house obligations, new starter onboarding including TFN declarations and super fund choice forms, and leave management including unpaid leave treatment.

End of Month Financial Reporting You post month-end journals including accruals and prepayments, reconcile the trial balance, and produce a finalised P&L and Balance Sheet. You sign off on a clean, audit-ready file.

Public Accounting or Client-Facing Experience Preference given to candidates from Australian public accounting firms, registered BAS agent environments, or multi-client bookkeeping practices. Internal finance roles assessed case by case.
