About the job Compliance Support Officer – AML/CTF (Australian Accounting Clients)
Countive Digital places professional staff with Australian firms. We are hiring an AML/CTF Compliance Support Officer to work remotely supporting Australian accounting and bookkeeping practices meeting their new Anti-Money Laundering obligations under Australian law (effective July 2026).
This is not a senior risk role. This is a structured, process-driven administration role requiring precision, attention to detail, and comfort working within a compliance framework. The Australian principal makes every compliance judgment. You build, maintain, and manage every file and record.
This role suits someone with a background in bank KYC, financial compliance BPO, or regulated industry administration who wants stable remote work with an Australian firm.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain Customer Due Diligence (CDD) files for new and existing clients of Australian accounting firms
- Run client onboarding checklists against AML/CTF program requirements
- Conduct initial PEP screening and identity verification steps
- Monitor transactions against firm-defined thresholds and flag anomalies for principal review
- Prepare Suspicious Matter Report (SMR) documentation for principal review and submission
- Maintain staff training registers and coordinate completion tracking
- Update compliance logs monthly and prepare principal review reports
- Maintain all records to 7-year retention standards
- Support triennial independent review preparation
What You Will Not Do
- Make compliance judgments independently
- Submit reports to AUSTRAC directly
- Advise clients on their legal obligations
- Work unsupervised on high-risk determinations
Every material decision goes to the Australian principal. Your job is to make sure nothing falls through the cracks administratively.
