Account Manager 

The Role

This is a home / field based role.  As field Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing existing relationships with 5 national merchants that include Travis Perkins, Jewsons, MKM and Greenhams that will make up a large proportion of your activity / spend. The product range is construction textiles that are used for transporting, securing and protecting building materials. You will also be tasked with managing certain tier 2 regional builders merchants (again existing relationships are in place.  As field Account Manager, you objective will be to development incremental growth by increasing share of wallet and introducing new products / categories to your account base.  On a day to day basis you will be conversing with Category Managers, Trade Counter Managers, Product Managers and Branch Managers.

The Candidate

• Experience selling into Builders Merchants 
• Our client with also consider candidates that have sold into Plumbing & Heating Merchants OR Electrical Wholesalers (providing you have increased a range of products into existing customers).
• Our client will also consider FIELD BASED Area Sales Managers that have worked for a Builders Merchant, Electrical Wholesalers or Plumbing & Heating Merchant - with ambition to work for a manufacturer.

The Package

• up to £45,000
• 15% OTE uncapped
• Hybrid car or car allowance
• 25 days annual leave plus stats
