The Company hiring an Area Sales Manager

The Role of Area Sales Manager

This is a field / home based role covering Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey & Sussex. As Area Sales Manager you will focus on commercial refurb projects specifying innovative, efficient waterproofing membranes. The route to market is via Local Authority Surveyors, Private Practice surveyors, and Contractors to generate opportunities and sales. Commercial projects could include NHS trust hospitals, schools, colleges, car parks, sports facilities etc. As Area Sales Manager you will be responsible for producing specifications, tracking and following projects through to completion ensuring you are protecting specifications. Our client, is looking for a strong candidate that is technically minded and that is margin driven. Experience with building envelope products and an understanding of U-values etc is advantageous.

The Candidate - Area Sales Manager

  • External / Heavy side or building envelop experience is preferred. Our client will consider strong project sales experience where the applicant has dealt with Contractors, Local Authorities etc
  • Specification experience (full cycle / start to finish is required)
  • We are looking for a candidate that has a strong understanding of building regulations.
  • You must be able to write specifications and reports so you must have strong literacy and grammatical skills.
  • We are particularly interested in technical candidates that have sold insulation, membranes, roofing or structural products into specifiers

The Package on offer for the Area Sales Manager

  • £50,000 -£65,000 dependent upon experience
  • up to 40% OTE
