Medical Sales Representative – Vascular Access

Location: UK (Field-Based) | Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 basic (DOE) + 30% Bonus/OTE (paid quarterly) | Car Allowance: £550 per month

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Medical Sales Representative - Vascular Access to drive sales growth within the UK medical devices sector. In this key field sales role, you will develop and execute sales strategies to expand our client's presence in the vascular access market, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals and NHS stakeholders.

With a deep understanding of vascular access procedures and solutions, you will identify opportunities, provide expert clinical product support, and deliver tailored solutions that enhance patient outcomes. Your ability to combine clinical expertise with a customer-focused, consultative sales approach will be critical to achieving sales targets and contributing to the growth of the vascular access portfolio.

Working closely with the Marketing and Clinical teams, you will help establish a network of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within the vascular access space, developing strategic relationships with key stakeholders across both public and private healthcare, and providing detailed knowledge of vascular access procedures.

  • Deliver the annualised sales and gross profit (GP) budget, increasing market share across the full vascular access product portfolio.
  • Create hospital-level business plans to identify key stakeholders and drive incremental sales through commercial meetings and in-field visits.
  • Spend time in theatre and clinic environments, promoting and driving incremental sales of the vascular access product range.
  • Build strong relationships with hospitals, clinicians and other key stakeholder groups, including NHS decision-makers.
  • Work in collaboration with Product Management, Marketing and Clinical Specialists to build a detailed understanding of the UK market, including hospital-level activity.
  • Deliver training to clinical and nursing staff to support clinical trials and product utilisation.
  • Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and understand how developments in practice may influence commercial strategy.
  • Keep abreast of developments within the NHS, anticipating potential risks and opportunities, and adapting strategy accordingly.

The Candidate

  • Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in a life science or healthcare-related subject.
  • Proven experience in medical device field sales within vascular access or interventional procedures (essential).
  • Strong understanding of interventional environments, such as interventional radiology or vascular access.
  • Ability to engage credibly with senior clinicians and NHS stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a track record of delivering sales growth.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience launching new products (desirable).
  • Experience developing and managing Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) (desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.

  • Basic salary £60,000–£70,000 DOE
