Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and monitor the incinerator On Board Cruise Ship according to company and industry standards

- Ensure proper incineration of waste materials, including garbage, food waste, and hazardous waste

- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of the incinerator, including changing filters and disposing of ash

- Monitor and record incinerator performance, including temperature, emissions, and fuel consumption

- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

- Communicate effectively with other crew members and superiors to coordinate waste management operations

- Keep accurate records of waste incineration and disposal in accordance with company and regulatory requirements

- Identify and report any issues or malfunctions with the incinerator to the appropriate personnel

- Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills related to incinerator operation

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating and maintaining an incinerator, preferably in a marine or industrial setting

- Knowledge of incinerator operation and maintenance procedures

- Familiarity with waste management regulations and best practices

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately

- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check

- Valid Incinerator Operator Certification preferred
