Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival and escort them to their tables
- Present menus and provide recommendations based on guest preferences
- Take and process food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
- Ensure tables are cleared and reset for the next guests
- Assist with setting up and breaking down tables and dining areas
- Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment On Board Cruise Ship
Qualifications:
- Completion of high school or basic education equivalency preferred
- Two year food and/or beverage service experience, preferably in a 4 or 5 star restaurant. Banquet experience preferred.
- Ability to distinguish soft drink varieties.
- Knowledge of basic buffet food items.
- Ability to apply customer service skills when interacting with guests and coworkers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to assist others
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
