Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate all backstage equipment, including lighting, sound, and special effects, for performances and events onboard the cruise ships

- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs of backstage equipment to ensure optimal functioning

- Assist with the load-in and load-out of equipment for each show

- Collaborate with the show's technical team to ensure seamless execution of performances

- Troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during shows and events

- Maintain a safe and organized backstage area at all times

- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures

- Assist with the training of new technicians and crew members

- Keep accurate records of equipment inventory and maintenance schedules

- Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the show schedule

- Willingness to travel internationally for extended periods of time


Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Backstage Technician in a live entertainment setting

- Strong knowledge of lighting, sound, and special effects equipment

- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

- Willingness to work irregular hours and travel internationally for extended periods of time

- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Fluency in English, both written and verbal

- Valid passport and ability to obtain necessary visas for international travel
