Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and lead a team of carpenters in the construction, installation, and repair of marine structures and components

- Plan and schedule daily tasks for the carpentry team, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget

- Train and mentor new carpenters, providing guidance and support to ensure their success onboard the cruise ship

- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials and equipment, ordering supplies as needed

- Conduct quality control checks to ensure work meets company and industry standards

- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure efficient and effective completion of projects

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times

- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during projects

- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report progress to management

Qualifications and Skills:

- Minimum of 5 years experience in carpentry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

- Strong knowledge of marine carpentry techniques and materials

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

- Excellent leadership and communication skills

- Proven track record of successfully managing and completing projects on time and within budget

- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures

- Proficient in using hand and power tools
