Job Description:

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and organized Administration/Night Manager to join our cruise ship team. As the Administration/Night Manager, you will oversee the night operations and provide administrative support to various departments. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks will contribute to the smooth functioning of the ship during nighttime hours.

Responsibilities:

  1. Night Operations Management: Oversee and manage the night operations on the cruise ship, ensuring efficient and effective coordination among various departments.
  2. Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to department heads and senior management, including preparing reports, maintaining records, and managing correspondence.
  3. Staff Supervision: Supervise and support night shift staff members, including coordinating work schedules, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance.
  4. Emergency Response: Be prepared to manage emergency situations during the night shift, following established protocols and ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and crew members.
  5. Guest Assistance: Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and requests during the night, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  6. Inventory Management: Assist in managing and maintaining inventory levels for various supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels during the night shift.
  7. Security and Safety: Monitor ship security systems, perform regular patrols, and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe and secure environment during the night hours.
  8. Communication: Maintain effective communication with other departments, providing updates, relaying information, and addressing any issues or concerns that arise during the night shift.
  9. Financial Accountability: Assist in managing and tracking expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines and reporting any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
  10. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare accurate reports and documentation related to night operations, incidents, and guest interactions, maintaining detailed records for future reference.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably in the hospitality industry or aboard cruise ships. Experience working night shifts is advantageous.
  2. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and ensure smooth operations during the night shift.
  3. Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to supervise and motivate a diverse team, ensuring high performance and fostering a positive work environment.
  4. Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff, guests, and management during the night shift.
