Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, maki, and sashimi, according to established recipes and standards On Board Cruise Ship

- Ensure all sushi dishes are prepared and presented to the highest quality and visual standards

- Train and supervise junior sushi chefs in proper techniques and procedures

- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed

- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations

- Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to develop new menu items and specials

- Assist with menu planning and cost control measures

- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times

- Follow all company policies and procedures, including uniform and grooming standards

- Participate in onboard events and activities as needed

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years of experience as a sushi chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel

- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi techniques

- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

- Strong communication and leadership skills

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

- Fluent in English, additional languages a plus
