Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Accounting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions across the company.

  • Manage general ledger entries, journal postings, and monthly closing activities.

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reconciliation reports.

  • Handle intercompany transactions and balance sheet reconciliations.

Payment Processing & Cash Flow Management

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.

  • Manage online banking platforms and ensure proper authorization of transactions.

  • Monitor daily cash flow and maintain cash flow forecasts.

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and statutory contributions.

Regulatory Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (SST, income tax, etc.) and corporate filings.

  • Work with tax agents and auditors on annual submissions and statutory audits.

  • Maintain proper financial documentation and support internal process audits.

Process & System Support

  • Develop and maintain internal SOPs for finance operations.

  • Implement improvements in accounting systems and workflows to increase efficiency.

  • Support operational teams on budgeting and expense tracking.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in accounting, preferably in an SME or multi-entity setup.

  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and Malaysian financial regulations.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SQL Accounting).

  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and integrity in handling financial data.

  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with investment firm or fund accounting.

  • Experience in handling payments across multiple bank platforms.

  • Exposure to tax and audit processes in Malaysia.
