Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounting

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions across the company.

Manage general ledger entries, journal postings, and monthly closing activities.

Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reconciliation reports.

Handle intercompany transactions and balance sheet reconciliations.
Payment Processing & Cash Flow Management

Oversee accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.

Manage online banking platforms and ensure proper authorization of transactions.

Monitor daily cash flow and maintain cash flow forecasts.
-
Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and statutory contributions.
Regulatory Compliance & Internal Controls

Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (SST, income tax, etc.) and corporate filings.

Work with tax agents and auditors on annual submissions and statutory audits.
-
Maintain proper financial documentation and support internal process audits.
Process & System Support

Develop and maintain internal SOPs for finance operations.
-
Implement improvements in accounting systems and workflows to increase efficiency.

Support operational teams on budgeting and expense tracking.
Requirements

Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

3-5 years of hands-on experience in accounting, preferably in an SME or multi-entity setup.

Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and Malaysian financial regulations.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SQL Accounting).

Strong attention to detail, reliability, and integrity in handling financial data.

Ability to manage multiple accounts and work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice to Have
-
Familiarity with investment firm or fund accounting.

Experience in handling payments across multiple bank platforms.
-
Exposure to tax and audit processes in Malaysia.
