Job Overview:
You will ensure accurate inventory management, coordinate with suppliers and shippers, and resolve logistical issues efficiently. You will perform daily checks on inventory data, manage shipment reports, and address operational problems by collaborating with various stakeholders and work with the channel managers on sales forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Factory & Internal Departments (50%)
- Collaborate with the creative department and product manager to align product specifications and timelines.
- Manage sourcing processes, regularly checking prices against other suppliers to ensure cost-efficiency.
- Provide regular reports on production progress, addressing and issues or delays promptly.
- Liaise with suppliers and shippers to ensure timely updates on shipment statuses and costs, coordinating to guarantee the availability of orders and planning shipments accordingly.
- Respond to supplier inquiries and ensure clear communication for shipment updates, pricing peaks, and order timelines.
- Database Management (30%)
- Input and manage the database of parts and SKUs using our existing ERP system to ensure accurate and timely availability of resources.
- Maintain and update the product database, ensuring clear and precise information regarding product requirements for production and packaging.
- Conduct daily inventory checks to ensure data accuracy between internal reports and external platforms, resolving discrepancies to prevent issues with shipment planning.
- Check for and resolve issues related to duplicate SKUs and other database inconsistencies.
- Improve on Production & Inventory Processes (20%)
- Address daily operational issues, including shipment and inventory problems, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance efficiency and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the development team to report and resolve system issues, ensuring smooth operational workflows.
- Assist in the planning and execution of production schedules, adapting to changing needs and priorities.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations in all production activities.
- Enhance the accuracy and ease of use of software tools used in production and inventory management.
Requirements:- 6-10 years of proven experience in product/warehouse coordination and inventory planning and inventory forecasting (both PO and shipment planning)
- Able to read historical sales trend + future sales trend and work with channel managers to discuss sales forecasting
- Have deep experience working with inventory at amazon, shopify and a 3PL (wayfair is a plug) and able to list listings and link listings to MSKU (in software tracking app)
- STRONG communication skills & able to speak & give input clearly and experience with financial aspect of inventory planning.
- Deep knowledge in at least 2 inventory tracking software AND CONFIGURATION.
- Able to manage local LTL shipments (shipping on pallets from different LTL carriers not just UPS)
- Experience working with EPA filing + different types of agent (AGL - amazon global logistics, Chinese forwarder) is a PLUS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred)
- Address daily operational issues, including shipment and inventory problems, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance efficiency and maintain high customer satisfaction.
