Position Overview
We are seeking an analytical, growth-focused marketer to assume complete strategic and operational command of our paid acquisition setup from day one. In this role, you will design, manage, and scale performance marketing initiatives across Google, LinkedIn, Shopify Ads, and Content Syndication to capture high-value B2B prospects and drive installations for our software portfolio.
Beyond campaign management, you will construct standardized marketing systems, execute data-backed experiments, and prepare to build and manage a dedicated marketing team within 12 to 24 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Paid Channel Ownership: Strategy, execution, and optimization across Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Shopify Ads, and syndication networks.
- B2B Acquisition & Conversion: Direct qualified target traffic into our Shopify App Store listings, turning initial interest into active app installs and lasting client relationships.
- Process & Framework Development: Replace ad-hoc tactics with well-documented, repeatable workflows, standard operating procedures, and key performance indicators.
- Experimental Growth Methodology: Formulate hypothesis-driven tests, measure outcomes accurately, and rapidly iterate based on performance data.
- Analytics & Attribution Architecture: Set up and maintain clear tracking, funnel attribution, and performance reporting using GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Looker Studio.
- Cross-Functional Partnering: Collaborate with Product and Customer Success teams to launch feature updates, cross-selling campaigns, and account expansion tactics.
- Leadership Roadmap: Lay the organizational foundation required to hire, onboard, and lead a full marketing team within 1 to 2 years.
Candidate Profile
Must-Haves
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience (ideally 4–7 years) running multi-channel campaigns in B2B SaaS, e-commerce, or the Shopify environment.
- Acquisition Expertise: A successful track record of executing B2B lead generation via Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads with an emphasis on qualified leads.
- Data-Centric Focus: Complete comfort with acquisition unit economics (CAC, CPL, ROAS, conversion percentages, and traffic growth).
- Systemic Mindset: Demonstrated capability to create scalable, documented processes rather than relying solely on manual execution.
- Tech Stack Mastery: Hands-on proficiency with marketing automation/CRMs (e.g., HubSpot) and tracking tools (GA4, GTM, Looker Studio).
- Language Skills: Fluent German (C2 standard) is required to successfully target the DACH market, paired with fluent English skills.
- Remote Competency: High autonomy, discipline, and personal accountability in an asynchronous, remote work environment.
- In-Person Gatherings: Readiness to travel for two multi-day team retreats per year (2–3 days each).

- Direct experience running acquisition campaigns inside the Shopify App Store.
- Exposure to Product Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, or Customer Marketing strategies.
- Initial team leadership experience or a strong capacity for people management.
