Role Summary
We are looking for an analytical, execution-focused performance marketer to step in and take total charge of our acquisition engine. In this position, you will design, execute, and scale paid acquisition frameworks across Google, LinkedIn, Shopify Ads, and Content Syndication to capture high-value B2B leads and drive app installs for our growing software portfolio.
Beyond managing campaigns, your mission is to establish structured workflows, run structured growth experiments, and build the foundation to hire and lead a full marketing team within 12 to 24 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Paid Acquisition Strategy: Take full ownership of strategy and optimization for Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Shopify Ads, and Content Syndication networks.
- Lead Generation & Conversion: Funnel high-intent B2B traffic to our Shopify App Store listings, turning interest into active installs and long-term customer value.
- Process Standardization: Build transparent, repeatable marketing systems with well-documented playbooks and clear performance metrics.
- Hypothesis-Driven Testing: Apply a systematic methodology to formulate hypotheses, measure results, and continuously refine conversion paths.
- Tracking & Analytics Setup: Build and maintain high-precision attribution frameworks and dashboards using GA4, GTM, and Looker Studio.
- Cross-Department Alignment: Work closely with Product and Customer Success teams on product launches, upselling, and retention initiatives.
- Leadership Roadmap: Lay the organizational groundwork to recruit, mentor, and manage a dedicated marketing unit within 1 to 2 years.
Profile Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Track Record: 5+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience (ideally 4–7 years) managing multi-channel paid acquisition in e-commerce, B2B SaaS, or the Shopify space.
- Channel Mastery: Demonstrated capability in executing B2B lead generation via Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads focused on qualified sales leads.
- Data Proficiency: Strong command of core unit economics (CAC, CPL, ROAS, conversion metrics, and traffic volume).
- Systemic Mindset: Proven ability to build and document scalable processes rather than relying solely on task execution.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency with CRM automation tools (e.g., HubSpot) and tracking environments (GA4, GTM, Looker Studio).
- Language Proficiency: Fluent German skills (C2 Level) are strictly required to target the DACH market effectively, alongside professional English.
- Remote Efficiency: Strong self-direction, discipline, and personal accountability in an asynchronous environment.
- Team Gatherings: Willingness to attend two multi-day team retreats per year (2–3 days per event).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience executing campaigns within the Shopify App Store.
- Knowledge of product marketing, customer marketing, or lifecycle management.
- Previous management experience or demonstrated potential to lead a team.
What We Offer
- High Impact & Ownership: Complete freedom to build the performance marketing architecture from scratch for an established software suite serving over 13,000 paying clients.
- Career Trajectory: A clear path to Senior Marketing Lead and team manager within 12–24 months.
- 100% EU Remote Flexibility: Work from anywhere in the EU, supported by two in-person team retreats each year.
- Compensation Breakdown (Germany Standard):
- Base Salary: €68,000 gross p.a.
- Performance Bonus: €12,000 target p.a.
- Total On-Target Earnings: €80,000 p.a.
- EU Location Adjustments: For hires based outside Germany, compensation is adjusted according to local market rates through our Employer of Record (EOR) provider.
- Benefits & Perks: Access to location-dependent perks (via EOR), such as bike leasing (JobRad), public transit passes, private pension schemes (BAV/VWL), fitness subsidies (Urban Sports), and mental health platforms.
- Culture: A collaborative work environment built on mutual trust, continuous learning from mistakes, and genuine personal connections.
Culture & Core Values
We believe high performance stems from genuine partnership, transparent communication, and mutual respect. We focus on execution over corporate buzzwords, treat errors as shared learning opportunities, and keep real human connection at the heart of our technical growth.
