Job Description: Automatisierungsingenieur (m/w/d)

Location: Taufkirchen (near Munich), Germany
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time (40h/week; option to reduce to 32h)
Compensation: €50,000 – €80,000 gross/year
Remote Policy: Primarily on-site, with limited flexibility (1–2 days home office possible)
Vacation: 30 days/year

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Automation Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Plant Engineering team. This is a hands-on role focused on automation, robotics, and process optimization, where you will help develop and implement innovative production systems. The position offers the opportunity to build and lead the automation department in the future.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Development

  • Program SPS systems (preferably Beckhoff or Siemens).

  • Program industrial robots (preferably KUKA).

  • Commission new machinery and optimize existing systems.

Technical Expertise

  • Read, design, and interpret circuit diagrams.

  • Build and work with control cabinets.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Testing and R&D teams.

  • Support process optimization initiatives across production.

Leadership Potential

  • Opportunity to shape and grow the automation division.

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Experience in SPS programming (Beckhoff or Siemens).

  • Robot programming skills (preferably KUKA).

  • Solid background in electrical engineering.

  • Ability to read and create circuit diagrams and build control cabinets.

  • At least 2 years of relevant hands-on experience.

  • English fluency; German B1–B2 (willingness to use German in workshop communication).

Nice-to-Have:

  • Background as an electrician with additional automation training.

  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other high-tech environments.

Education:

  • A university degree is not required. Equivalent practical experience or a state-certified technician qualification is highly valued.
