About the job Facility/Procurement Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repairs: Inspecting facilities and equipment for deficiencies, scheduling and overseeing maintenance and repair services.
- Procurement: Managing procurement of supplies, equipment, and services, including negotiating contracts and managing budgets.
- Facility Management: Overseeing space planning, utilization, and ensuring optimal functioning of all systems.
- Staff and Contractor Management: Supervising facility staff and external contractors, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed logs of complaints, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Emergency Response: Responding appropriately to emergencies and urgent issues as they arise.
- Report Generation: Preparing weekly and monthly reports on facility activities.
Qualifications:
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of building systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to the facility.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- Leadership: Ability to supervise and motivate staff, as well as manage contractors.
- Budget Management: Experience in managing budgets and tracking expenses.
