Our Client is looking for a full-time Manager to lead our fundraising and donor engagement efforts for the Grassroots Impact Initiative. This role involves reaching out to new donors and building strong, lasting relationships with current supporters across geographies. You will help shape and implement strategies to introduce the initiative to the philanthropic community and build partnerships that support our mission.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is entrepreneurial, energetic, and passionate about social change. You should enjoy meeting people, building relationships, representing our work to donors and partners, managing events, and creating meaningful learning and engagement experiences for philanthropists.

Primary Responsibilities:
Strategy & Fundraising
  • Design and execute a strategic plan to grow the Grassroots Impact Initiative, aligning its goals with opportunities in the development and philanthropic sectors.
  • Expand our donor base through personal outreach, networking, events, campaigns, and referrals.
  • Research and identify potential donors through networks, partnerships, and secondary research.
  • Prepare well-crafted funding proposals that align with donor interests including goals, budget, and impact metrics.
  • Use our CRM system to track donor interactions, manage data, and help the team stay organized and informed.
  • Facilitate site visits and donor meetings to deepen their understanding of the issues we address and the work we support.
Donor & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, foundations, and ecosystem partners.
  • Represent the Grassroots Impact Initiative at conferences, events, and ecosystem forums.
  • Guide donors through their philanthropic journeys, ensuring meaningful engagement and measurable impact.
Team & Organizational Leadership
  • Contribute to team planning, hiring, reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a high-quality experience for donors.
  • Support team brainstorming, problem-solving, and planning related to the initiatives goals and activities.
Candidate Requirement
  • 9-15 years of work experience, including 3-4 years managing a team preferably in private banking, B2B sales, wealth management, or customer relations.
  • A natural ability to build and maintain strong relationships, and confidence in dealing with senior leaders.
  • Experience managing the full donor or client journey from lead generation and pitching to proposal development and closing.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with a knack for clearly conveying value and impact.
  • A bridge-builder mindset comfortable navigating both the corporate and social impact sectors.
  • Passion for Indias development challenges and a commitment to supporting grassroots communities.
