Your new role

As a Working Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating on-site construction activities. You will be responsible for managing and leading a team of tradespeople, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and on schedule. This role requires a strong trade background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with managers, sub-contractors, and clients. These are permanent positions that offer stability and the opportunity to contribute to the success of a well-established family company.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of tradespeople, ensuring work is carried out efficiently and to the required specifications.

Co-ordinate and supervise on-site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to managers.

Allocate resources and manage the scheduling of tasks to ensure timely completion of projects.

Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality and adherence to project plans.

Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting a positive and productive working environment.

Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress reports, and site diaries.

Communicate effectively with managers, sub-contractors, and clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.

Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of construction processes and practices.

Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in construction management.

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience as a Working Foreman in the construction industry is essential.

Strong trade background is required.

CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card is necessary.

Excellent leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and their application on construction sites.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and drawings.

Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Full UK driving licence.
