3rd Engineer on a Large Oil Tanker

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated maritime professional to contribute to the safe operation of a large oil tanker while furthering their career in marine engineering.

  • - Main Engine Sulzer Wartsila;
  • - Kayman Islands Flag
  • Multinational crews on board

Job Description:

  • Perform watchkeeping duties in the engine room, monitoring equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Maintain and repair auxiliary engines, boilers, pumps, and other machinery
  • Manage fuel, lubricants, and cooling water systems
  • Conduct regular inspections and water analyses of boilers and cooling systems
  • Operate and maintain the freshwater generator, incinerator, and air compressors
  • Assist in bunkering operations and fuel oil management Supervise and train junior engineers and cadets
  • Generate and maintain accurate machinery logs and technical reports
  • Participate in emergency drills and respond to alarms as needed
  • Ensure compliance with MARPOL and STCW
  • Maintain effective English communication
  • Have a safety culture and mindset
  • Have experience with multicultural working environment

Contract Terms & Conditions
