About CTL,E.P.

Cabos de Timor-Leste (CTL), E.P. is the state-owned enterprise of Timor-Leste entrusted with the critical mandate of managing and operating the nation's international submarine cable infrastructure and domestic terrestrial backbone network. CTL's primary function is to provide reliable wholesale internet bandwidth to internet service providers (ISPs) and mobile network operators within the country.


Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain the core IP/MPLS network;

- Configure and manage routing protocols, especially BGP with international peers;

- Provision and troubleshoot IP-Transit and wholesale services;

- Perform network capacity planning and performance optimization;

- Troubleshoot network issues escalated from the NOC;

- Other duties as necessary.


Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or relevant field;

- Proven experience in a service provider environment;

- Expertise in BGP, MPLS, OSPF/IS-IS and IPv6;

- Ability to work in a 24/7 shift rotation;

- Strong problem-solving skills and calm demeanor under pressure;

- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper or Nokia equipment;

- Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
