The Role
Ensure the continuous, reliable operation of all critical infrastructure at our Cable Landing Station and PoPs, including power, cooling, and security systems.
About CTL, E.P.
Cabos de Timor-Leste (CTL), E.P. is the state-owned enterprise of Timor-Leste entrusted with the critical mandate of managing and operating the nation's international submarine cable infrastructure and domestic terrestrial backbone network. CTL's primary function is to provide reliable wholesale internet bandwidth to internet service providers (ISPs) and mobile network operators within the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain critical infrastructure: DC power systems, UPS, backup generators, and HVAC;
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all facility systems;
- Monitor power consumption, environmental conditions, and physical security;
- Manage relationships with vendors and contractors for fuel and maintenance;
- Ensure Cable Landing Station compliance with physical security protocols;
- Other duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field;
- Experience maintaining DC power systems in critical environments preferred;
- Ability to work in a 24/7 shift rotation;
- Knowledge of HVAC and physical security systems (access control, CCTV);
- Strong safety awareness and emergency response capability;
- Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
