Mechanics Recruitment is partnering with a leading WA-owned manufacturer and service provider in the road transport space, currently seeking an experienced and trade-qualified Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their growing service and repairs team based in Forrestfield.

Role overview:
As a key part of the workshop team, you'll be responsible for servicing and repairing a range of heavy-duty vehicles and trailers including Kenworth, Mack, Volvo, and Scania to support both internal and external fleet reliability.
Key responsibilities:

Conduct fault-finding and diagnostics on diesel engines, hydraulics, electrics, brakes, and driveline systems

Complete structural and mechanical repairs on trailers and prime movers

Carry out servicing, maintenance, and component rebuilds

Document all repair and inspection work accurately

Mentor apprentices and support workshop process improvement

Operate within WHS guidelines and company procedures
What we're looking for:

Cert III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)

Minimum 3 years post-trade experience

Experience working on European and American trucks and trailers

Confident with CAN-bus, EBS, and DEF systems
-
Forklift licence (essential), HR/HC/MC licence (advantageous)

Sound knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, and suspension systems

Strong communication and team collaboration skills
