Escape the routine and put your skills to work on a premium fleet of high-end yachts (35ft65ft) based in the stunning waters of Tahiti. We're hiring four experienced Marine Diesel Mechanics to join a rotating FIFO team, maintaining, and servicing a luxury fleet with a permanent 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off roster.

This rare role offers exceptional lifestyle balance, premium working conditions, and all travel expenses covered with direct flight paths from major East Coast Australian cities and Auckland International Airport.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform service, diagnostics, and repairs on marine diesel inboard engines
  • Maintain yachts between 35ft and 65ft, including luxury vessels
  • Respond to breakdowns and oversee preventative maintenance
  • Liaise with vessel captains, engineers, and support staff
  • Conduct handovers with incoming/outgoing mechanics on rotation
  • Maintain accurate logs, service sheets, and technical records
  • Ensure all work is done to maritime safety and quality standards

What Youll Bring

  • Trade qualification in Marine or Heavy Diesel Mechanics
  • Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience with marine diesel engines
  • Experience with brands like Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Caterpillar, Cummins is ideal
  • Prior work on luxury or commercial yachts is highly advantageous
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
  • NZ or Australian working rights essential
