Dean of Academic Affairs

Job Description:

City University Ajman is seeking a dynamic and visionary individual to serve as the Dean of Academic Affairs. The Dean of Academic Affairs will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the quality of education delivery, collaborating with faculty and staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead initiatives that promote innovation, continuous improvement, and academic excellence.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and review curriculum, ensuring alignment with student needs and industry requirements.

Supervise and evaluate faculty and staff performance, providing constructive feedback and support for professional growth.

Monitor and assess student performance and learning outcomes, implementing strategies for improvement and academic success.

Foster relationships with external stakeholders, including industry professionals and accreditation bodies, to enhance academic programs and opportunities for students.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in education, maintaining accreditation and quality assurance processes.

Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in teaching and learning, encouraging faculty and staff to explore new pedagogical methods and technologies.

Represent the institution at academic conferences, seminars, and other relevant events, showcasing our commitment to excellence in education and research.

Manage academic resources, including budgeting, procurement, and allocation of equipment and materials, to support teaching, learning, and research activities.

Qualifications:

A doctoral degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.

A minimum of five years of experience in academic leadership roles, with demonstrated success in curriculum development, faculty supervision, and student assessment.

Knowledge of accreditation standards and regulatory requirements in higher education.

A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic programs and practices.

Experience in budget management and resource allocation.

Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire faculty and staff toward academic excellence and innovation.
