Risk Analyst

 Job Description:

The hiring company is one of the leading commodity trading conglomerates established in Indonesia and has business presence worldwide. The role of the Risk Analyst will be based in their Singapore office in the CBD area. Successful candidate will be one who has the understanding of derivative products including futures, options as well as physical products.

This position is a part of the Risk & Compliance team, whose purpose is to set and monitor the Corporate Governance, ERM, Internal Controls for the company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitor Market and Credit risks.
  • Prepare daily reports, in order to monitor daily operations held by other departments.
  • Prepare Mark to Market Report and Value at Risk for all products. Mark to Market Report includes all the trades held by company, such as physical products, futures, options, spreads etc.
  • Review all the information of customer/supplier, and monitor if credit for those companies are within the limit.
  • Prepare forms to apply for Credit in company, and monitor the credit risk and settlement risk
  • Prepare monthly reports for both Company Management and Shareholders.
  • Liaise with Trading / Deals Desk for prepartion of accurate Mark to Market reports
  • Liaise with Finance team in order to choose appropriate payment term for each customer
  • Liaise with Operations team to prepare for correct journal entries with accurate financial statement
  • Prepare the monthly PnL report for both Company Management and Shareholders.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in relevant field.
  • General knowledge of Forward Curve, Options, Positioning in the Financial markets.
  • General knowledge on financial terms.
  • General understanding of logistics i.e., INCOTERMS, UCP600.
  • Good understanding of Micro/Macroeconomics.
  • Ability to keep up to date with latest world news.
  • Ability to provide insights/views on Micro/Macro.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Singaporeans only
