Our client is a financial solutions provider, offering fintech services and technological innovations to SMEs. They are looking for a Financial Controller to join their team.

The ideal candidate should possess a robust commercial accounting background with minimal emphasis on audit experience. As a Financial Controller, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial health of the organization, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with department heads to create and monitor departmental budgets.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity needs are met.
- Implement effective cash management strategies to optimize working capital.
- Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop contingency plans.
- Utilize strong commercial accounting skills to drive financial success.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with overall business objectives
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improve.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
- Review and address audit findings, implementing necessary improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
• Strong commercial accounting background with minimal emphasis on audit.
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
