Financial Controller

 Job Description:

Our client is a financial solutions provider, offering fintech services and technological innovations to SMEs. They are looking for a Financial Controller to join their team.

The ideal candidate should possess a robust commercial accounting background with minimal emphasis on audit experience. As a Financial Controller, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial health of the organization, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Collaborate with department heads to create and monitor departmental budgets.

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity needs are met.

Implement effective cash management strategies to optimize working capital.
Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them

Conduct regular risk assessments and develop contingency plans.

Utilize strong commercial accounting skills to drive financial success.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with overall business objectives

- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improve.

Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.

Review and address audit findings, implementing necessary improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
  • Strong commercial accounting background with minimal emphasis on audit.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
