Finance Manager

 Job Description:

Our client, is seeking a Finance Manager to lead their finance function. This role involves overseeing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic insights to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of finance professionals.
  • Supervise day-to-day financial and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Drive the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads, aligning budgets with strategic objectives.
  • Prepare and present timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review and board reporting.
  • Ensure proper GST reporting and preparation of statutory financial statements for audit.
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions.
  • Ensure full compliance with local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering laws.
  • Conduct financial performance reviews with department leads to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Review and manage accounts receivable, inventory ageing reports, and liaise with business leaders to mitigate financial risks.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and legal representatives.
  • Continuously enhance financial controls, accounting policies, and internal processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and reconciliation of all ledgers, including general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, fixed assets, inventory, and liabilities.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, including 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Prior audit experience is an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
  • Highly meticulous, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive mindset and strong sense of responsibility.
