Company Overview: Cakeshop By Sonja is a leading bakery specializing in custom cakes, cupcakes and other baked goods. Our mission is to spread joy and happiness through our delicious treats, and we are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Cakeshop Team Lead.

Position Overview: As the Cakeshop Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cakeshop team. This role focuses on people management, organization, and leadership - no cake decorating background required.  If you have experience in team supervision, workflow coordination, ensuring smooth daily operations, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage a team of bakers and decorators to ensure efficient and timely production of cakes and other baked goods

- Create and maintain production schedules, ensuring that orders are completed on time and to the highest quality standards

- Oversee daily operations and ensure efficiency

- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed

-Maintain quality control and timely production

-Coordinate schedules and workflow

- Maintain a very immaculately clean and organized workspace, also ensuring all equipment is in good working condition

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies

- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction

- Assist in developing new products to keep up with market trends and customer demands

Qualifications:

-Strong leadership and organizational and team management skills

-Experience in team management (F&B, hospitality, or retail a plus)

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Flexible schedule, including the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
