Cura Staffing is a leading provider of high-quality care staffing services in the Sheffield area. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients service users. You will be responsible for supervising and supporting a team of care assistants, ensuring that all care is delivered in line with company policies and procedures. You will also be involved in creating and implementing care plans, conducting risk assessments, and liaising with healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities:

- Supervise and support a team of care assistants, ensuring that all care is delivered to a high standard

- Create and implement care plans for service users, ensuring they are tailored to their individual needs and preferences

- Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of service users

- Liaise with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to provide the best possible care for service users

- Administer medication in accordance with company policies and procedures

- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and toileting

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided

- Promote a positive and supportive working environment for the care team

- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required

- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations

Requirements:

- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (Desirable)

- Previous experience in a senior care role

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to lead and motivate a team

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations

- Compassionate and empathetic nature

- Flexible and able to work shifts

- Ability to work well under pressure

- Basic IT skills
