About this job:

Build and maintain backend services and ingestion pipelines supporting high-volume data intake, validation, transformation, and downstream integration. Deliver clean, tested, well-documented services that meet enterprise security and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services and REST APIs in Python (FastAPI / Django or similar)
• Implement ingestion, validation, and transformation logic for bulk data processing
• Build and optimise data-processing routines (Pandas / Polars) over large datasets
• Integrate with relational stores, messaging, and external enterprise systems, including SAP (IDoc / OData / APIs)
• Implement a configurable business-rules layer and exception handling
• Write unit and integration tests
• Participate in code reviews and CI/CD

Required

• 3–5 yrs backend development, strong Python
• REST API design and async patterns
• Data-processing experience (Pandas / Polars); comfort with large-volume, batch workloads
• SQL (Azure SQL / PostgreSQL) and ORM
• Testing (pytest)
• Git-based CI/CD
• Nice to have: Azure (Container Apps / App Service, storage, messaging), SAP integration exposure
• Fluent English
