Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Python Developer to join a highly skilled engineering team working on scalable, cloud-based applications within a microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across both backend and frontend development, contributing to the design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of modern distributed systems.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Strong expertise in Python development.
  • Hands-on experience with Flask or similar Python web frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of SQLAlchemy and relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
  • Experience designing and supporting microservices architectures.
  • Practical experience with gRPC communication between services.
  • Strong frontend development skills with React, TypeScript, Redux, and React Query.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining applications in Kubernetes environments.
  • Experience working with AWS services such as S3, RDS, and SQS.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools including Grafana, Honeycomb, or similar platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Experience working in distributed international teams.
  • English level: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and Flask.
  • Build and enhance modern frontend applications using React, TypeScript, Redux, and React Query.
  • Develop and support microservices communicating through gRPC protocols.
  • Design and optimize database interactions using SQLAlchemy and PostgreSQL.
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain services running in Kubernetes environments.
  • Work with AWS services such as S3, RDS, and SQS to build reliable cloud-native solutions.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using Grafana, Honeycomb, and similar observability tools.
  • Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers to design secure, scalable, and highly available systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, architecture decisions, and engineering improvements.
  • Contribute to CI/CD processes and deployment automation.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience in the Health Insurance industry is highly desirable and would help accelerate onboarding; however, it is not a mandatory requirement.
  • Experience in healthcare-related products or regulated environments.
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud architecture best practices.
  • Experience building highly available and fault-tolerant systems.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and GitHub-based workflows.
  • Exposure to event-driven architectures and message queue systems.
