Job (Project) Description:

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst (SQL/Python) to join a healthcare technology project focused on provider network regulatory compliance and operational data analysis.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data problems through SQL, translating business and regulatory requirements into analytical solutions, and using Python to automate repetitive tasks. Unlike traditional Data Engineering positions, this role is analysis-focused rather than platform or pipeline-focused.
You will work closely with operations, compliance, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure provider network data is accurate, compliant, and aligned with healthcare regulations.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Reporting Analyst, Healthcare Data Analyst, or similar analytical role.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries against large datasets.
  • Working knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, and data manipulation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand complex business rules and translate them into SQL logic and reporting requirements.
  • Experience working with data validation, reporting, or operational analytics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
  • Availability to work within EST business hours.
Nice to Have:
  • Previous experience with healthcare, health insurance, payer, provider, claims, or clinical data.
  • Experience working with healthcare regulations, provider network management, or regulatory reporting.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, CMS, NCQA, or network adequacy requirements.
  • Experience with incident management or operational support.
  • Experience using Git or version control systems.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze healthcare data.
  • Analyze provider network data to support operational and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Translate healthcare regulations and business requirements into SQL logic, validation rules, and analytical reports.
  • Build Python scripts to automate recurring data analysis and validation tasks.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and identify root causes of data quality issues.
  • Review and improve existing SQL queries and Python scripts for performance, accuracy, and maintainability.
  • Partner with compliance, operations, engineering, and business teams to deliver accurate and actionable insights.
  • Support operational incidents involving data and reporting, implementing temporary workarounds when needed and contributing to long-term solutions.
  • Document business rules, analytical processes, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
