Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented Chef de Partie to join a Peruvian restaurant's kitchen team. As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for overseeing a particular section of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation. You will report to the Head Chef and work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook and plate dishes in your designated section of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
- Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
- Supervise and support junior chefs in your section, providing guidance and training when necessary.
- Ensure that all food items are stored and handled safely and hygienically in accordance with food safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with ordering and stock control to ensure that the kitchen is always adequately supplied with ingredients.
- Take responsibility for the cleanliness and maintenance of your section of the kitchen, ensuring that all equipment is cleaned, sanitized and properly maintained.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Chef de Partie, ideally within a Peruvian restaurant.
- Excellent knowledge of Peruvian cuisine, cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train junior chefs.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
