The Organisation is a nature conservation and education center that spreads over 148 hectares of land on the northern slopes of Tai Mo Shan. It lies in a valley, with a stream running down through the diverse (sub)tropical forest. You can find theme gardens, greenhouses, vegetable and fruit terraces, walking trails and public education displays of plants and animals, whilst the largest part of the estate is managed as a nature reserve.
The organisation adheres to a holistic approach, balancing agricultural and livestock production with restoring and conserving nature. the organisation's hillside is a demonstration site that showcases how this balance can be achieved by embedding inspirational Botanic Garden and native animal displays for visitors and sustainable agricultural plots in a natural landscape. The recultivation of the organisation's nature reserve is experimental as well as scientific, and sharing lessons learned with society at large.

Job Summary
The job holder is responsible for assisting the daily operations of the finance and accounting section. Main functions are to perform clerical duties in the accounting team. The position reports directly to the Senior Accounting Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for accounts payable, receivables and reconciliations of various source of income;
  • To assist in monitoring different funds, including the governments funding;
  • To provide clerical support in the accounting team.
  • To perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by other Accounts supervisory staff;


Requirements:

  • Commitment to the mission, vision and values of the organisation;
  • DSE, LCCI elementary level or above;
  • With a good command of English;
  • With 3 years + solid working experience in Accounting, Auditing or Bookkeeping;
  • Good computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases;
  • Willing to learn new software;
  • High attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Honest with a high level of integrity, detailed and logical mind;
  • Good communication skills and a good team player;
  • Open minded and recognize the validity of all spiritual paths;
  • You are expected to participate in activities arranged by the organisation with the intention of developing the organizational culture.
