Unreal Engine material Artist

Location: Remote
Time zone: CET ±2 hours
Contract: Full-time, B2B or Freelance (via EasyStaff)
Salary: up to $1,500 USD/month GROSS

An international digital agency founded in 2015, specializing in 3D visualizations and interactive projects for clients worldwide. Their portfolio includes award-winning projects in Europe, the USA, Canada, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. The team consists of over 100 professionals working remotely, creating photorealistic content for various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality textures and materials for architectural visualization (Archviz) and other directions.
• Develop and optimize PBR materials, ensuring realistic surface properties and light interactions.
• Design complex materials using Substance Designer and Substance Painter.
• Work with UV mapping, texture baking, and ensure seamless texture integration in 3D scenes.
• Collaborate with the design and 3D modeling teams to ensure visual consistency and quality.
• Participate in visual and technical aspects of material creation, maintaining high visual quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 1,5+ years of experience with Unreal Engine (UE).
• 1,5+ years of experience with Substance Painter.
• Solid understanding of PBR workflows, UVs, texture baking and surface / light interaction.
• Language: English (B1).

Nice to Have / Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with modeling or scene assembly in DCC tools like 3ds Max or Blender
• Familiarity with Marvelous designer
