This role focuses on enhancing the readiness of the Department of Defense's (DoD) most critical platforms and weapons systems. Building on significant successes with the U.S. Navy, you'll expand our reach to other military branches, including the Air Force and Space Force, particularly within aerial and space-based infrastructure.
Another strategic imperative is leveraging our extensive data to support next-generation infrastructure. We've already achieved remarkable success in the Naval supply chain, ensuring nuclear reactors are built on schedule and within budget. Your expertise will extend these advancements to Space, the Intelligence Community (IC), and Commercial Nuclear fields.
This is a unique opportunity to integrate government acquisition and sustainment processes through digital threads, enhancing decision-making across the entire infrastructure lifecyclefrom new builds to maintenance, operation, modernization, and decommissioning.
What You Will Do: Drive Strategic Growth
Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you will shape and monetize high-value, strategic offerings in the government sectors. You'll leverage your deep knowledge and extensive relationships to:
- Identify the critical intersection of government needs and our unique capabilities.
- Facilitate the development of innovative products and services at this intersection, including offer design and strategic direction.
- Orchestrate all relevant stakeholdersincluding potential customers, government agencies, and internal teamsto effectively sell and deliver these groundbreaking solutions.
About You: A Profile of Excellence
We're looking for a seasoned professional with a demonstrated ability to drive significant results in the government sector.
Required Skills:
- Substantial experience within military and/or federal markets.
- Proven ability to establish positive relationships with key government agencies and defense prime contractors.
- Strong conceptual understanding of government prioritization and budget allocation.
- Detailed knowledge of military/federal procurement rules, regulations, and procedures.
- At least 5 years of experience in strategic, consultative, and/or enterprise sales or business/corporate development.
- A minimum of 8 years of overall work experience (ideally 15 or more).
- Demonstrated success in developing and selling 7-8+ figure deals, ideally to C-suite customers.
Preferred Skills (a plus):
- Experience selling software and/or data-related products into government.
- Background in management consulting or finance.
- Previous exposure to a high-growth, dual-use startup that successfully built a scalable government business unit.
- Military or federal affiliation.
- Experience transitioning an organization from "services-first" to "platform-first."
- Familiarity with various pricing models.
- Experience selling 8-figure accounts, preferably up to 9 figures.
- Proven ability to develop, sell, and execute new offerings to large enterprises.
