About the job Graphic Designer (Temporary)

The candidate will carry out graphic design to support the different initiatives and teams in DARe. They are expected to also to do things outside their role that will give them a more wholesome experience in DARe: social media management, event management, financial tasks and other ad-hoc tasks that the team may have.

Duties & Responsibilities

Main responsibility

  1. Develop and conceptualize designs for incoming requests from the different units in DARe.
  2. Analyze the effectiveness of designs and measure the engagement received from DARe’s social media channels.
  3. Recommend effective messaging and design in current or new channels.
  4. Ensure designs are developed with quality and meet deadlines.

Secondary responsibility

  1. To support the team in other aspects of communications: media liaison, event management, social media management and monitoring, and administrative tasks.
  2. May be expected to take photos or social media coverage during events.

Key Requirements

To showcase their experience and skill for the role, the candidate is required to provide a portfolio or link to their design work.

The candidate is also required to:

  1. Have experience and knowledge using a design software: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign or similar to this.
  2. Have effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  3. Be proactive in executing incoming requests from the DARe teams.
  4. Give as well as receive constructive criticism on how the team can improve and how the intern can improve themselves respectively.
