Android Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the product team to develop and implement new features for the apps

• Support strategy and technical design of new features

• Assure usability and dependability of produced apps

• Build and work on unit and integration testing methodologies

• Boost performance, troubleshoot bugs, and solve application bottlenecks

• Work on application changes by planning, creating, and implementing them

• Collaborate and interact with various teams regularly

• Perform mobile app design, development, and maintenance duties for Android devices

• Oversee releases to Google Play Store and own full end-to-end dev process

Job Requirements:

• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions

• Ability to distill complex technical topics into clear points over video and Slack

• Proven experience bringing new mobile products to market

• Strong written and verbal English skills

• Advanced experience with Android

• Built at least two production applications in Kotlin

• B2C mobile app experience with experience in estimating tasks

• Must be a proactive communicator, independent contributor, but easily works with others and appreciates the value of a team

Nice To Have

• Managing other engineers

• Experience with Jetpack Compose

• Experience with Google Maps integration

• Experience with UI/UX and animations

• Experience in writing tests for production applications

• Interest in travel, history, storytelling, etc.
