About the Role
We are looking for a Data Scientist with experience in navigation systems to join an aerospace-focused project.
In this role, you will work on complex problems involving positioning, motion estimation, and sensor data processing, contributing to the development of high-precision navigation solutions. This is a highly technical position that combines mathematical modeling, data analysis, and real-world system behavior.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and domain experts, to design and implement robust algorithms for real-world applications.
Responsibilities

Develop and implement algorithms for navigation, positioning, and motion estimation

Work with sensor data (e.g., GPS/GNSS, IMU) to build reliable and accurate models

Design and apply sensor fusion techniques to combine multiple data sources

Implement and optimize filtering and estimation algorithms (e.g., Kalman Filters)

Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and performance improvements

Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate models into production systems

Validate models through simulations and real-world data testing

Document methodologies, assumptions, and results for technical stakeholders
Requirements
Must-Have

Experience as a Data Scientist, Applied Scientist, or similar role

Strong programming skills in Python

Solid foundation in mathematics, statistics, and linear algebra

Experience working with time-series data and signal processing

Knowledge of estimation and filtering techniques (e.g., Kalman Filters)

Experience with scientific computing libraries (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy)

Understanding of sensor data and real-world systems

Ability to translate mathematical models into production-ready code

Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
Nice-to-Have

Experience in aerospace, robotics, automotive, or navigation systems

Familiarity with GNSS/GPS, IMU, or inertial navigation systems

Experience with MATLAB / Simulink

Knowledge of C/C++ for performance-critical systems
