Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our team developing a cutting-edge Energy Data Management solution for the energy industry. The project is focused on building a cloud-native, microservice-based platform that ensures energy meter data accuracy and reliability for grid operators and energy companies. The ideal candidate combines energy domain understanding with strong AWS cloud development expertise, contributing to the design, implementation, and optimization of modern cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design and development to review and deployment.

  • Estimate progress, technical quality, and resource needs for project stakeholders.

  • Set up and maintain AWS environments programmatically (e.g., using AWS CloudFormation).

  • Develop and implement microservices using modern cloud architectures.

  • Collaborate within an Agile/DevOps team, ensuring high-quality, scalable delivery.

  • Share cloud knowledge and mentor less experienced engineers.

  • Continuously explore and adopt new tools and technologies to enhance team productivity.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in cloud-native development.

  • Proven experience in AWS cloud development and operations (2+ years).

  • Hands-on experience implementing microservices from scratch.

  • Proficiency in Python and C#.

  • Experience with CloudOps, monitoring, and logging tools.

  • Exposure to AI tools within the software lifecycle (min. 1 year).

  • Comfortable working across Microsoft and Linux environments.

  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

  • Team-oriented mindset with experience in Agile/DevOps environments.

  • Ability to tutor, mentor, and share knowledge with peers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in energy sector data management.

  • AWS Certified Developer Associate or equivalent level of cloud expertise.

  • Experience with Serverless architectures, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Environment as Code (EaC).

  • Familiarity with Docker or other containerization technologies.

  • Experience with both brownfield (existing systems) and greenfield (new development) projects.

  • Knowledge or experience with Machine Learning solutions.
