About Eragon

Eragon is building an enterprise-grade AI operating system. The thesis is that traditional software interfaces are being replaced by prompt-driven, agent-powered systems that companies deploy within their own environments.

The platform connects internal company data across systems such as email, Slack, ERPs, and CRMs, enabling employees and executives to take action through natural language. It supports workflows such as forecasting deal risk, onboarding customers, generating dashboards, and approving invoices. All data remains within the customer's infrastructure, and model weights become long-term proprietary assets.

The company has raised $12M in seed funding at a $100M valuation, generated $3.5M ARR in Q1, and has over 50 active customers. The technical team includes PhDs from Berkeley and MIT, and the company has been featured in TechCrunch. The founder is targeting $1B in revenue.

The Role

This role requires full ownership across modeling, systems, and product. Candidates are expected to take ideas from concept through production without predefined structure or roadmap. The environment is highly intense and fast-paced, requiring individuals who thrive under pressure and operate with extreme autonomy.

What You'll Do

• Build, integrate, and deploy AI-powered systems into production environments
• Fine-tune, evaluate, and work with machine learning models in real-world applications
• Design scalable pipelines for training, inference, and data processing
• Optimize performance across latency, throughput, cost, and reliability
• Work with large-scale datasets and integrate systems across APIs and enterprise tools
• Collaborate with product, research, and design to deliver end-to-end functionality
• Implement evaluation frameworks, observability, and monitoring systems

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern ML or engineering frameworks
• Experience building and deploying production systems
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP
• Experience working with machine learning models or data-driven systems
• Prior experience in a fast-paced startup environment

Nice to Have

• Experience scaling ML systems in production
• Familiarity with LLMs, agents, or workflow automation
• Experience with distributed systems or large-scale infrastructure
• Background in leading AI labs or high-growth startups
• Top-tier academic background
• Prior founding or end-to-end product ownership experience
